BATON ROUGE, LA – Attorney General Jeff Landry today announced the fugitive arrest of Fred Daniels - a Jefferson Parish man accused of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Daniels allegedly broke into a Harvey home on February 9, 2017 and shot a woman in the arm before fleeing. A warrant was put out for his arrest by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office; and he was captured by Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Fugitive Task Force and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office. With collaboration between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office - Daniels was booked into the Lafayette Parish Prison.

“I am proud of the diligent work done by my Fugitive Task Force in capturing Fred Daniels,” said Attorney General Jeff Landry. “It is important that law enforcement partners continue to work in coordination with each other to capture criminals in an effort to keep our communities safe.”
