BATON ROUGE, LA – Following a
State of the Union invitation from U.S. Representative Clay Higgins (R, LA-03)
to Bella Reed, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry today thanked Higgins for
his continued push to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis.
“Bella Reed is a charming, energetic, and vibrant young
lady who makes Acadiana proud,” said General Landry. “Born with Cystic
Fibrosis, Bella spends hours each day receiving medical treatments; yet, she
does not allow her condition to restrict the joy she spreads to her peers and
neighbors.”
“Like Bella, Congressman Higgins has been a leader for
families dealing with the chronic illness of CF,” continued General Landry.
“From drafting legislation to working with NHLBI’s Cystic Fibrosis division –
Congressman Higgins has made research and treatment of people with CF a top
priority.”
“I thank Congressman Higgins for his efforts to raise
awareness of cystic fibrosis,” concluded General Landry. “And I support his
efforts to help Bella and others with CF.”
