Solicitor General Murrill: This is a case with a complicated pre-trial history and significant competing policy interests; it simply boils down to the fact that when a defendant chooses to have an attorney represent him, he gives that attorney the right to shape his defense.
General Landry: On this day of remembrance, I pray all Louisianans remember what Dr. King taught us: that we are all created equally in the image of God and that we must measure people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
