Executive

The Executive Division of the Office of the Attorney General performs constitutional and civic duties by providing oversight and direction. Working closely with Administrative Services, this division develops policy and managerial practices. It also coordinates efforts to work with various state agencies and the state legislature. The Executive Division houses the Communications Division.

Chief Deputy Attorney General: John Sinquefield
John Sinquefield is a veteran prosecutor with more than five decades experience of getting justice for crime victims. Sinquefield most recently worked as Senior Counsel to the Attorney General and previously served as a prosecutor in the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, the General Counsel for the National Center for Prosecutorial Management, a Section Chief and the Chief Deputy District Attorney in the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office, and the First Assistant District Attorney in Calcasieu Parish. Sinquefield was a vice president of the National District Attorney’s Association and a president of the Louisiana District Attorney’s Association. He received his bachelor's degree from Northeast Louisiana State College and his law degree from Louisiana State University.
