Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office arrests man for possessing 500 counts of child porn

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit arrested Justin William Sammons (W/M DOB: 5/2/1987) on Thursday, February 22, for 500 counts of possession of child pornography under the age of thirteen.

Our office received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. An investigation was initiated by our office, which eventually led to his arrest. 

Williams was arrested for violating: LA R.S. 14:81.1 – Possession of Child Pornography Under the Age of Thirteen (500 Counts) 

“My office continues to protect the children of Louisiana. If you hurt our kids, you’re going to jail,” said Attorney General Liz Murrill. 

This arrest was a result of an investigation conducted by The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, West Monroe Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations. 

Sammons was booked at the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center without incident on the above listed charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
